What to expect at your pets appointment

Physiotherapy treatment can only be performed with a referral from a vet. If it wasn’t mentioned in the appointment or you haven’t seen the vet but are interested please get in touch and we will sort out the referral for you if appropriate.

On the initial physiotherapy appointment Eszter will assess your pet’s posture and movement, and carry out a full body examination looking at the condition of the musculoskeletal system. Based on the original referral and the result of the assessment, Eszter will set the rehabilitation goals.

Some techniques and exercises will be demonstrated to you to perform them at home and will be included in your home plan.

It is important to mention, that physiotherapy is a long-term treatment which usually requires several appointments to reach the rehabilitation goals; and commitment in following the rehabilitation plan is expected from owners to see results.
